The 2016 South Australian Derby is regarded as the most prestigious race to be held in the state and forms part of the Adelaide Racing Festival. Taking place every year at the Allan Scott Park Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, the Group 1 race headlines the track’s prestigious South Australia Derby Day, and is held in May.
